Suns fire Earl Watson
When your coaching record is 33 – 82, the last thing you can do is start your season 0 – 3 with an average margin of defeat over 31 points per game.
That’s just what the Phoenix Suns did and it cost head coach Earl Watson his job.
Following a record blowout to start the season to the Portland Trailblazers, a close loss to the Los Angeles and another butt kicking by the Los Angeles Clippers, management and owner Robert Sarver had seen enough.
Watson took over for Jeff Hornacek during the 2016 season and was had the interim tag removed to start the 2016-17 season.
