In March, Terrell Suggs signed a 1-year $7 million contract with the Arizona Cardinals and today, December 13th, he finds himself on waivers, released by the Cardinals.
Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said the move was mutual and it will allow the Cardinals to play younger guys. It will also give Suggs a chance to land on another team.
Suggs signed in March returning him to the state where he was a stand out at Hamilton High School in Chandler and Arizona State University in Tempe.
Until this year, Suggs spent, what’s sure to be a hall of fame career, with the Baltimore Ravens, where he earned the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2011.
Suggs who will clear waivers Monday has a career 138 sacks, the most of any active player.
