After thanking McDonough, owner Robert Sarver and VP of basketball operations James Jones he stated they “courage to go with a young rookie foreign coach and (I) want to prove they were right. It’s a challenge I’m ready for”.
He went on to say, “We have a great foundation, we can compete with the guys we can add through free agency and the upcoming draft. I love what we have and it’s my job as a coach to coach and develop what we have.”
