Kelly Oubre Jr. makes home debut for the Suns

Kelly Oubre Jr. will be making his home debut tonight for the Phoenix Suns. When the Suns traded for Oubre Jr. and Austin Rivers (who was waived immediately), the Suns were on a five game road trip. So tonight will be the first time the home crowd will get to him in person.

When asked what he expects from the home team, “Love”, Oubre Jr said, “I give love and I expect love back. That’s pretty much it simplified”.

“I’m really excited. Everybody is pretty much the same age. We all are competitors and we all want to be the best we can be playing the game of basketball.”

Oubre Jr. talking about Suns guard Devin Booker, “D-Book has been getting buckets since we were in high school. So for him to be doing this at the professional level is no surprise to me. And he works his ass off too.”

Why it’s been such a smooth transition thus far joining the Suns, he said, “My energy that I give out. I try to keep it consistent, try to keep it positive and I just try to be me at all times and people accept that and I can’t ask for any more than that.”
