Joel Berry II looks to the NBA

Joel Berry II won a National title with UNC in 2017, averaged a career high last season with 17.1 points per game and is a two-time finalist for the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the year award.

Now, he is trying to take his game and all his accomplishments to the NBA.

In between complimenting other future rookies, he expressed how much he loved to compete against other players and how great it is to be pushed.

“I just know what it takes to be on a winning team and a championship team. It’s a grind from the start of the season to the end. You are going to have your ups and down but towards the end of the season you want to be playing your best basketball”. Berry continued about his experience coming from a winning program, “Just coming from a winning at Carolina thats something I have experience with. I know its different on the NBA level but a championship is a championship and you know how to keep your body prepared and you know how to get through a season.”

“I know they want to be a winning program”, when asked about winning in Phoenix, ”And I would love to come here if that possibility is there. I would love to bring my winning background and my competiveness to the team”.
