Jamie Moyer Making It Happen At 49…

There are pitchers and there are throwers, Jamie Moyer is definitely a pitcher. In four innings against the San Francisco Giants Thursday evening, Moyer was perfect, all the while, never throwing one fastball close to 80 mph.

Moyer, who is a 24 year veteran of the major leagues and has won 267 games, is attempting a comeback with the Colorado Rockies. His goal is to crack the rotation as the fifth starter. If he is successful, makes the roster and wins a game, he will become the oldest pitcher in major league history to record a victory at 49 years old.

This would be an incredible feat for a man that was an analyst last year for ESPN while healing from Tommy John surgery.
