James Harden finally wins the MVP
In the most anticlimatic award of the NBA season, James Harden officially won the Most Valuable Player of the year.
Harden, who felt he should have won the award the previous year, was finalist along with LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Anthony Davis of the New Orleans Pelicans.
Harden said, “The last four years have been like knocking on the door knocking on the door. Now the moment is finally here. Just every single year you try to come back and be better than you were the year before, and just to be holding that trophy finally., it means a lot. It doesn’t stop here, we’ve got a long way to go, but it feels good to have it though.”
Harden not only led his team, the Houston Rockets, to a franchise record 65 wins, he also averaged 30.4 points per game, 8.8 assists and 5.4 rebounds. He also played in all 82 regular season games for the first time in his career.
