Cardinals’ training camp dates set
GLENDALE, Ariz. – It seems like only yesterday when the Arizona Cardinals decided to leave Northern Arizona University, and hold training camp at University of Phoenix Stadium. This upcoming training camp will be their third in Glendale, and it’s all set to kickoff on Saturday, August 1.
The team’s first practice will be that day. The players will actually report a day earlier, get themselves settled in and ready for the grind of 19 practices, which will conclude on Friday, August 28. “Fan Fest presented by University of Phoenix” is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 8.
Because of the later-than-usual start to the NFL season and training camp, the Kids Interactive Zone and Kids Autograph Experience won’t be operational for practices starting on Monday, August 17, when the majority of Arizona schools are back in session. Those practices will still be open to the public.
The Collective Bargaining Agreement states that NFL teams can only have one practice per day. As of right now, the practice times are from 2:00-4:30pm, but that’s subject to change.
Here’s the schedule for training camp. Admission and parking for all practices are free.
